Card catalogue of the library of the Society of Physicians in Vienna.This scanned catalogue accounts for the old stock of the library of the Society of Physicians in Vienna. Due to the Society's lack of space, this stock has been presented to the branch library for the history of medicine as a deposit loan. The transfer took place in two steps:Bei jedem Kärtchen finden Sie die Möglichkeit, den automatisch erkannten Volltext zu korrigieren bzw. nachzutragen. Ihre Eingabe wird sofort sicht- und suchbar. In 1976, the first shipment of several hundred running metres was delivered to the library for the history of medicine and was integrated into the old stock (1800-1990) as well as the "Josephinische Bibliothek" (16th cent.-1800). Those volumes are marked with the call numbers of the library for the history of medicine, the old location marks of the Society of Physicians in Vienna have no meaning any more. In 2000, the second shipment arrived. The monographs of this second delivery are still marked with the Society's old call numbers and are also currently shelved according to these numbers. Last but not least, several hundred journals were also delivered which can still be found in the catalogue of the library of the Society of Physicians in Vienna, but which were giveb new call numbers as well. Due to these numerous changes of call numbers and classifications, it is highly recommended to use this catalogue only at the end of any library research, if the desired volume has still not been found. Each index card offers the opportunity to change or correct the OCR-read full texts. The changes made will immediately become visible and searchable.
